Dated 25 May 1881 and signed by John D. Rockefeller for Standard Oil and C.A. Griscom for the National Transit Company, and attested by W.H. Curtiss for National Transit and H.M. Flagler for Standard Oil.

John D. Rockefeller (1839-1937) was born in Richford, New York to William Avery Rockefeller and Eliza Davison. In 1853, he moved with his family to Cleveland, Ohio where he studied bookkeeping.
